As the morning sunlight stretched across the garage floor, it revealed one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen: Joe’s new Spyker racecar! I had seen many photographs of the car, but none could do it justice. As I circled the car in awe, every angle showed a new beautiful line. Before I could ask to get in the car, both doors automatically opened and rose up.  I could hear Joe in the background laughing and saying something like, “I should be videoing your expression.”

After picking my jaw up off the floor, Joe and I hopped in.  As we turned out of his driveway, I was thrust into my seat and feeling G forces as if I was on a rollercoaster.  We reached the stop sign at the end of the street before I knew it.  I said, “man that is fast!”  and Joe replied, “That was second-gear.”

After getting out of the subdivision, Joe really opened her up!  We were screaming across the Texas Hill Country. As Joe speed shifted though the gears like a racecar driver, he calmly started asking me questions about music and playing guitar. At first I found it a little hard to concentrate on his questions, but as we raced like a rocket down the street I realized this is the Fastest guitar lesson I’ve ever given, in MPH, of course. :)
